N60 Hilux Chassis brace plates & steering box mounts
N60 Hilux front chassis brace plates, for use when solid axle swapping your Hilux, made from 3mm steel that aligns along the chassis these also blank off the back side of the engine mount in one neat plate.
IFS Hilux Steering box mounting plates along the bottom of the chassis and are designed to position the steering box to suit a flat pitman arm.
What’s Included
2 x 3mm steel chassis brace plates
2 x 6mm steel mounting plates (longer plate on inside of chassis rail and shorter plate on outside of chassis rail)
3 x Steel weld in crush tubes
3 x High tensile bolts, washers and nylock nuts
Steering box mounts should align along the bottom of the chassis rail. General rule of thumb when installing on a leaf spring front end is you want the steering box forward as far as possible and up as high as possible whilst still allowing the pitman arm/ rod end to swing and clear under the chassis.
Note: Clearance as the front between the chassis and radiator is close, i find it best to put the front steering box bolt through from the inside of the chassis with the washer/ nut on the outside. The bolt head being lower profile than the washer/ nut will give you more clearance from the radiator.
